Deep in the western region of Ethiopia in the Keffa Zone, Dinkalem Adema owns and operates several sites here, including this site, Checho,in the town of Bita. The soil is a fertile red/brown clay. Farmers here collect cherry from their small plots and surrounding wild grown coffees, supplying the Bita station ample diversity in flavor profile development. Landrace varieties are cultivated here from 1,800-2,000 meters. This natural process lot contains luscious flavors and floral aromas. We find indulgent notes of passion fruit, blackberry and plum.
