Peru is an incredibly diverse origin for coffee, with so many microclimates created in the terrain alongside the Andes mountains. Valleys become fertile havens that shelter from intense weather or temperature fluctuations, while nutrients and water are funneled down the mountains and into their drainages. In the alto Inambari, a subregion of the Valle Sandia, such conditions exist where all coffee produced here receives merit based on appalachia. This lot is a blend of the best of the best from producers in the Valle Sandia, hence the moniker, 'reserve'. Caturra, Typica, Catimor and Bourbon varieties are grown between 1600-2000 meters. Ripe fruits are harvested, sorted, pulped and fermented/washed and dried on raised beds.
