Finca La Secreta is owned and operated by Carlos Mejia and his family in Ciudad Bolivar, Antioquia, Colombia. The finca sits between 1,700 and 2,050 meters and fosters 5 hectares of the farm as a nature reserve. This particular lot consists of Caturra cherries selected for ripeness and then co-fermented in an anaerobic environment with lychee fruit, yeasts and microbes. This innovative and complex process yields one of the most extraordinary coffee experiences. Rather than creating something that tastes unnatural or synthetic, the flavor profile is intertwined so well that the cup drinks like rare geisha coffees. The floral aromas draw you in, where sweetness and acidity playfully grace the palate as ripe fruit flavors unfold as the cup cools. Hands down one of our most favorite and interesting coffees to date! Don't miss out on this rare and delicious coffee.
